1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream
    butter.\tGradually
    add\tsugar,\tcreaming
    until light and
    fluffy.
    Beat\tfor
    10 minutes on electric mixer or longer by hand.
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
    Add eggs one
    at a time to cream mixture, beating well after each addition.\tAdd flour mixture alternately with milk and flavoring, beating\tuntil smooth.
    Bake
    batter
    in
    3
    greased and floured 9-inch
    pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.\tTop with favorite icing.
