Christmas Fruit Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup butter
    4 eggs (well beaten)
    1 tablespoon milk
    3 teaspoons baking soda
    3 cups all purpose flour
    1 teaspoon nutmeg
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 teaspoon cloves
    1 cup candied cherries (chopped)
    1 cup candied pineapple (chopped)
    1 1/2 cups white raisins
    2 1/2 cups pecan pieces
    1/2 cup water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
    Cream together brown sugar, butter, eggs and milk.
    Sift baking soda, 2 cups flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves together.
    Combine dry mixture and creamy mixture.
    Add water.
    Coat fruit with remaining cup of flour. Stir coated fruit and pecan pieces into dough.
    Drop by spoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet.
    Cook slowly, approximately 12 - 15 minutes.
    Do not brown.
