Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Heat oven to 300\u00b0.
Grease 8 x 8-inch pan.
Mix flour and soda; set aside.
In large bowl, mix sugar and butter with mixer. Add egg and vanilla; beat until light.
Add flour mixture, pecans and chocolate chips.
Blend on low until combined.
Put in pan and bake for 35 to 45 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
Cook, cut and serve.
