Florida Barbecued Ribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lb. beef short ribs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. pineapple preserves
    1/2 c. canned whole berry cranberry sauce
    1/2 c. chili sauce
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1/4 c. Heinz steak sauce
Preparation
    Salt and pepper ribs and parboil for 2 hours.
    Combine barbecue ingredients and brush both sides of the ribs.
    Cook 5-inches from coals 8 minutes each side, brushing with sauce and turning ribs constantly.
    Heat remaining sauce and serve with ribs.
