Ingredients

1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter or margarine (room temperature)
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. chopped pecans
2/3 c. chips (semi-sweet chocolate, butterscotch, peanut butter or a combination)
Preparation

Mix flour and baking soda.
Beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla in a large bowl with electric mixer until well blended. With mixer on low speed, gradually add flour mixture.
Beat just until blended.
Stir in pecans and chips.
