Strawberry Queen Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. water
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored gelatin
1/2 c. cold water
1 pt. vanilla ice cream
1 c. sliced fresh strawberries
1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
Preparation

Heat water to boiling in 2-quart saucepan; remove from heat. Add gelatin and stir until dissolved.
Add 1/2 cup cold water (or ice water).
Cut ice cream into six pieces; add to hot liquid. Stir until melted.
Chill until mixture begins to thicken and mound when spooned, 20 to 25 minutes.
Fold in strawberries. Pour into cooled, baked pie shell.
Garnish with whipped cream and sliced strawberries if desired.
Chill 20 to 25 minutes or until firm.
