Ingredients

1 c. butter or oleo
1 Tbsp. milk
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. walnuts
3/4 c. coconut
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. red candied cherries, chopped finely
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar well.
Beat in the milk and vanilla. Add chopped cherries and walnuts.
Fold in flour.
Form dough into 2 eight-inch logs.
Roll in coconut and wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
Chill well.
Cut into 1/2-inch slices.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 375\u00b0 oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
