Black Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. dried black beans, rinsed
    2 qt. water
    1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1 red pepper, stemmed, seeded and chopped
    1/2 c. diagonally sliced green onions
    1/4 c. chopped red onion
    2 cloves garlic, pressed
    1 Tbsp. ground cumin
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1/4 c. cilantro, chopped
    4 Tbsp. olive oil
    2 Tbsp. lime juice
    1 tomato, chopped
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight; drain.
    Combine beans, water and 1/4 teaspoon of the cayenne.
    Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until beans are tender (about 1 hour).
    Drain.
    Rinse until water runs clear and beans are cool.
    Drain well.
