2 Tbsp. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. canned cherries
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. cherry juice
1 c. flour
Preparation

Cream together butter and 1 cup sugar.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
Add dry ingredients and milk to creamed mixture alternately.
Pour into greased baking dish.
Combine cherries with remaining sugar and juice; heat.
Pour over batter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Serve warm from dish.
