Dallas Nut Sandwiches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts (favorites)
    1/2 c. sugar (to sprinkle)
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs.
    Work in sifted flour and baking powder.
    Chill dough well.
    Divide dough in half and roll each half into rectangle.
    Place one rectangle on a buttered baking sheet.
    Brush with butter and sprinkle with nuts and sugar.
    Brush other half with butter and sprinkle with sugar.
    Place second 1/2 over first and press edges together.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes or until light brown.
    Cut into fingers while slightly warm.
    Nice on a cold day with hot tea or coffee.
