Stuffed Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
    Sift flour; measure to resift 3 times with baking powder and salt.
    Cream shortening and butter; blend in sugar gradually.
    Add eggs; beat until smooth and fluffy.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Add sifted dry ingredients and milk alternately in 2 or 3 portions, beginning and ending with flour and beating well after each addition.
    Chill for 1 hour.
    Roll on lightly floured board to about 1/8-inch thickness; cut out with any desired cookie cutter about 2 inches in diameter.
