Angel Flake Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. unsifted flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk
2 pkg. dry yeast
3 to 4 Tbsp. warm water
Preparation

Dissolve yeast and warm water together.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Cut in shortening.
Mix buttermilk and yeast with shortening mixture.
Put in oiled bowl and refrigerate.
When ready to use, roll out on floured board and cut with biscuit cutter.
Place on greased pan and let stand for 30 minutes or longer.
Bake at 400\u00b0.
May be kept in refrigerator in covered container for a week.
Makes 40 (2-inch) biscuits.
