Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 medium onions, diced
    1 large bell pepper, diced
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked regular rice
    2 tsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In large skillet, cook and stir beef until light brown; drain.
    Add onions and pepper; cook and stir until onions and pepper are tender.
    Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, rice, chili powder, salt and pepper.
    Heat through.
    Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole dish.
    Cover and bake 1 hour.
    Less time if you use 9 x 11-inch Pyrex dish.
    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
