Cranberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sifted flour (1/2 whole wheat)
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. orange juice
2 1/2 Tbsp. grated orange rind
2 c. raw cranberries
2 c. broken nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
In mixing bowl, cream shortening and add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with combined orange juice and rind, beginning and ending with dry ingredients and mixing well after each addition.
Fold in cranberries and nuts.
Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.
Bake about 1 hour or until pick stuck in center comes out clean.
