Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 medium onion
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 can red kidney beans
    1 can tomato soup
    2 or 3 medium potatoes
    sour cream (optional)
    grated Cheddar cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion; drain.
    Add remaining ingredients, except potatoes; simmer.
    Peel and dice potatoes (like for potato salad).
    Cover with water; cook until tender.
    Add undrained potatoes to ground beef mixture.
    Simmer and serve.
    May top with sour cream and grated cheese.
    Serves 6.
