John'S Salsa - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chopped onions
    2 lb. chopped bell peppers
    5 lb. peeled, chopped tomatoes
    3 (3 oz.) cans chilies, chopped finely
    1 can jalapeno peppers, chopped finely
    3 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 pkg. taco seasoning
    3/4 to 1 c. vinegar
    6 to 8 green hot peppers, chopped finely
Preparation
    Chop vegetables and simmer with other ingredients for 15 minutes or until desired thickness.
    Pour into 6 clean, hot, half pint or pint jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace.
    Process in boiling water bath for 20 minutes.
    Makes roughly 12 half pints or 6 pints.
