Sweet Maripin'S Episcopalian Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dark brown sugar
    1 c. water
    1/2 stick butter
    2 c. pecan halves, broken
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Boil sugar and water until soft ball forms when tested in ice water.
    Add butter and remove from heat.
    Stir in 2 cups of pecans and a pinch of salt.
    Beat until a bit dropped on a buttered plate or waxed paper does not run.
    Drop from a teaspoon.
    Never substitute margarine for butter.
