Green Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 gal. green tomatoes, cored and quartered
    2 medium heads cabbage, cored and quartered
    6 large onions, quartered
    12 bell peppers (red or green)
    12 hot peppers
    2 stalks celery
    6 carrots
    1 c. salt
    1/2 gal. vinegar
    2 c. molasses OR 1 qt. brown sugar
    1 qt. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/4 c. pickling spices
Preparation
    Grind all vegetables in food chopper or processor.
    Mix with salt.
    Put in bag and hang on line overnight.
    Mix with vinegar, molasses or brown sugar, sugar, dry mustard and pickling spices tied in cheesecloth bag.
    Bring to boil and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Seal in sterile jars.
    Makes 20 to 22 pints.
