Peanut Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    3/4 c. peanut butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift flour 3 times with baking soda and salt.
    Cream the butter and both sugars until soft and well blended (but not fluffy).
    Add egg, peanut butter and vanilla.
    Mix thoroughly. Stir in flour.
    Knead in bowl until dough is smooth.
    Divide into 2 parts and roll each part into a roll.
    Cut into 1-inch pieces. Place pieces 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets.
    Press with the tip of a fork to form crisscrosses on top.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Yields approximately 3 dozen.
