Aunt Tessie'S Hot Milk Sponge Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 well beaten eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. hot milk (quite hot)
1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Beat eggs until light and thick.
Slowly add sugar and beat with a spoon for 5 minutes.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Fold into eggs and sugar.
Mix all at one time, quickly.
Melt butter in hot milk and add all at once.
The folding in of flour and milk should take 60 seconds!
Bake in 7-inch square pan in 375\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
