Refrigerator Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    1 packet yeast
    6 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 egg
    3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Scald milk.
    Pour over sugar.
    Let stand until warm.
    Add yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water.
    Add beaten egg and 2 cups flour. Add melted shortening.
    Let stand, covered, for 30 minutes, then add remaining 1 1/2 cups flour and salt.
    Cover and put in refrigerator.
    When ready to bake, roll out on floured board.
    Let rise 2 hours.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 about 15 minutes.
