Grandmother'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. baking cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water
confectioners sugar (optional)
Preparation

In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla.
Beat well.
Combine flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and soda.
Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Stir in water. Mix until smooth (batter will be thin).
Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake tests done.
Cool on wire rack.
Dust with confectioners sugar, if desired.
