Paste - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. cornstarch
    3/4 c. cold water
    food coloring (optional)
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch and cold water.
    Add this to boiling water. Stir until mixed well and slightly thick.
    Add food color of choice to cold water if colored paste is desired; cool.
    Store in airtight container at room temperature.
