Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 very large onion
    1 very large green pepper
    2 bay leaves
    2 Tbsp. chili powder (more if very hot chili is desired)
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt (if desired)
    30 oz. kidney beans, drained
    43 1/2 oz. stewed tomatoes (3 cans)
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
Preparation
    Brown beef in large pot.
    Drain and remove from pot.
    Chop onion and pepper; cook in oil until tender.
    Add beef and all ingredients, except beans.
    Cook for 2 hours.
    Add beans; cook for additional 15 minutes.
    Let sit overnight in refrigerator.
