Zesty Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. olive oil
    10 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    6 to 10 veal, chicken or turkey sausages (preferably hot)
    3 cans peeled tomatoes, drained, seeded and chopped coarsely
    1/3 c. dry red wine
    dash of Tabasco
    1 to 2 tsp. salt (to taste)
    1/4 c. fresh basil leaves, chopped (or 1 tsp. dried)
Preparation
    Saute garlic in olive oil until soft (do not brown), about 5 minutes.
    Brown sausages in garlic and oil over medium flame. Cook about 20 minutes.
    Add tomatoes, wine, salt, Tabasco and basil; simmer for 2 hours to desired thickness.
    Stir frequently. Serve over spaghetti.
