Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sliced, pared baking apples (4 medium)
    3/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. regular oats
    3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
Preparation
    Arrange apples in greased 8 x 8 x 2 pan. Mix remaining ingredients with fork. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 375\u00b0 until apples are tender and topping is golden brown, about 30 minutes. Serve with cream, ice cream or hard sauce, if desired. Yields 6 servings.
