Wilted Leaf Lettuce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

leaf lettuce
3 or 4 green onions, sliced
4 strips bacon
1 egg
1/4 c. vinegar
2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Tear lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
Add onions, including tops.
Fry bacon until crisp; keep grease.
Crumble bacon over lettuce.
Beat egg with vinegar and sugar; pour into bacon grease and stir until thickened.
Pour over lettuce while mixture is still hot.
Serve at once.
