Aunt Flossie'S Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    2 c. beets, cooked and sliced
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except beets in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat.
    Add beets.
    Cover saucepan and simmer 10 minutes.
    Pour into jar and refrigerate at least 6 hours.
