Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco shortening
1 c. peanut butter (smooth or chunky)
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Stir in the first 4 ingredients and set aside.
In a large bowl with a mixer at medium speed, beat Crisco and peanut butter until smooth.
Beat in sugars until blended; then eggs and vanilla.
Add flour mixture and beat until well blended.
If necessary, chill dough.
Shape into 1-inch balls.
Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten them with a fork.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
