Southern Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sticks margarine, room temperature
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
2 tsp. vanilla
5 eggs, room temperature
Preparation

Cream butter and shortening well.
Add sugar and cream well. Add eggs and cream until lemony colored.
Add flour, salt and baking powder, a little at a time.
Alternate with milk and add vanilla.
Grease and flour a tube pan thoroughly.
Place in a cold oven.
Set oven to 325\u00b0.
Bake for 60 to 70 minutes.
