Best Apple Butter - cooking recipe
Ingredients

9 to 10 apples
1 c. apple cider
2 tsp. apple pie spice or 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 1/2 tsp. allspice and 1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Peel and core apples and cut into 1-inch pieces.
Place in a large saucepan and pour cider over them.
Cover and cook 30 minutes over low heat or until the apples are soft.
Cool.
Puree apples in blender.
Put into a large baking dish; sprinkle with spices and stir well.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 2 to 3 hours or until it is deep brown and thick.
Cool and put in tight fitting jar. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
