Jalapeno Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 c. cornmeal
1 c. milk
2 eggs
1/2 c. cooking oil
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can cream-style corn
chopped jalapeno peppers
grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Brown and drain ground beef and 1/2 of onion; set aside.
Mix together cornmeal, milk, eggs, oil, soda, salt, corn and remaining onion.
Grease deep baking dish (I use black iron pot).
Pour half of cornbread mixture, layer with meat and sprinkle with jalapenos and half of cheese.
Pour remaining cornbread over top and cover with cheese.
Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for about 1 hour.
