Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. water
1 box strawberry Jell-O (small)
1 qt. fresh strawberries
few drops red cake coloring (optional)

Preparation

Cook cornstarch and water until thick.
Let cool to room temperature.
Add Jell-O and stir well until dissolved.
Add fresh strawberries.
Pour in baked pie shell.
Chill until ready to serve.
Top with whipped cream.
