Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar (2 c. plain sugar)
    1 c. butter
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. almond flavorng
    2 1/2 c. Gold Medal flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Mix sugar and butter; mix in egg and flavoring.
    Blend dry ingredients in.
    Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours.
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0; divide dough in half and roll out on lightly floured pastry cloth to 3/16-inch thickness.
    Cut with cookie cutter.
    Sprinkle with sugar.
    Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake
    7 to
    8 minutes or until golden brown.
    Makes 5 dozen.
