Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 to 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 c. corn meal
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder together.
    Stir cornmeal thoroughly into flour mixture.
    Combine well beaten eggs, milk and shortening; add to dry ingredients.
    Mix well; pour into greased pan and bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
