Rumbledethumps (As In The Scottish Lion Inn) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Russett potatoes (about 3 lb.)
    2 lb. cabbage, diced
    1 stick butter or margarine, cut into bits
    2 Tbsp. minced chives
    1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Peel potatoes.
    Cut into 1-inch cubes.
    Cover with water and add salt.
    Bring to a boil; simmer 15 minutes and drain.
    In another saucepan, cover cabbage with water and add salt.
    Cover and bring to a boil; simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
    Drain.
    Mash potatoes in a large bowl.
    To potatoes, add cabbage and remaining ingredients.
    Place in a baking dish and top with additional cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
