Custard Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. milk
    6 eggs
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. whipped cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald milk on medium high heat.
    Beat eggs until yolks and whites are blended.
    Add sugar and salt.
    Mix well.
    Slowly add milk while stirring constantly.
    Cook over hot water on high heat. Cool and add whipping cream and vanilla.
    Freeze according to freezer instructions.
    Choice of toppings and garnishes are optional.
