Hot Dog Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 lb. ground chuck
1 large onion, diced
1 small can chili powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 (16 oz.) can tomato paste
3 c. water
2 Tbsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. sugar (optional)

Preparation

Brown meat and onion.
Add 1 1/2 cups of the water.
Cook until water is all gone, chopping meat with the spatula as it cooks.
Add remaining ingredients.
Heat thoroughly, then reduce heat and simmer 25 to 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
