Peanut Butter Pinwheels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sifted enriched flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. chunk-style peanut butter
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
16 oz. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Preparation

Sift together the flour, soda and salt.
Set aside. Cream the shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the peanut butter, egg and milk.
Add dry ingredients.
Place dough on lightly floured waxed paper.
Roll in a 15 x 8-inch rectangle. Chill.
Melt chocolate.
Cool slightly and spread over dough. Roll like jelly roll. Chill 20 to 30 minutes.
Slice cookies 1/4-inch thick.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes about 4 dozen.
