Pickled Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. pickling onions (golf ball size)
    1/2 c. salt
    water
    peppercorns
    malt vinegar
    honey
Preparation
    Place onions in a nonmetallic bowl.
    Sprinkle with salt.
    Add cold water to cover onions.
    Stand for 24 hours.
