Cooked Eggnog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 beaten eggs
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. whipping cream
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    In large saucepan mix eggs, milk and 1/3 cup sugar.
    Cook and stir on medium heat until mix coats metal spoon.
    Remove from heat.
    Quickly cool by placing pan in sink or bowl of cold water, stirring constantly.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Chill for 24 hours.
