Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix together first 5 ingredients.
    Sift together and stir in the next 3 ingredients.
    Roll in ball, size of a small walnut. Roll in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned, but still soft.
    Makes 5 dozen.
