Sliced Strawberry Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. strawberries
    7 c. sugar
    1/2 (8 oz.) bottle liquid pectin
Preparation
    Slice strawberries in halves lengthwise.
    Measure sugar and prepared fruit into large saucepan, packing fruit into cup when measuring; mix well.
    Bring to a full rolling boil over high heat. Stir constantly.
    Boil hard 3 minutes.
    Remove from heat and stir in pectin.
    Then stir and skim by turns for just 5 minutes to cool slightly to prevent floating fruits.
    Pour quickly into clean, sterilized jars.
    Cover at once.
