Easy Italian Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef or turkey
    1 c. chopped onion
    garlic powder to taste
    3 1/2 c. (28 oz. can) Contadina crushed tomatoes in tomato puree
    1 tsp. crushed oregano
    1/2 tsp. salt to taste
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 1/2 c. thinly sliced zucchini
    4 oz. (1 1/2 c.) dry wide egg noodles, cooked and drained
    1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Preparation
    In a large skillet sprayed with vegetable cooking spray, brown beef with onion and garlic.
    Drain well.
    Stir in tomatoes, oregano, salt and pepper.
    Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Stir in zucchini.
    Cook for additional 10 minutes. Stir in noodles.
