Pineapple-Sour Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 large eggs, separated
    1 baked 9-inch pastry shell
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Combine 1 cup sugar, flour and salt in a saucepan.
    Add pineapple, sour cream and juice.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Beat egg yolks until thick and pale. Gradually stir about 1/4 of hot mixture into yolks; add to remaining hot mixture, stirring constantly.
    Cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes.
    Cool.
    Spoon into shell.
