Quick Butterscotch Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. margarine (1 c. if nuts omitted)
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt margarine in large saucepan.
    Remove from heat; blend in sugar.
    Cool slightly.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together; add to brown sugar mixture with remaining ingredients. Stir until mixed.
    Pour into greased and floured rectangular baking pan (about 11 x 7 inches).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 40 minutes until done.
    Cool in pan; cut in bars.
