Chocolate Drop Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts, if desired
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugar, egg and chocolate thoroughly.
    Stir in buttermilk and vanilla.
    Stir together flour, soda and salt; blend in.
    Mix in nuts.
    Chill at least 1 hour.
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Drop teaspoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart on a lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until no imprint remains when touched lightly.
    Frost cooled cookies.
