Easy Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. raisins or currants
1 apple, chopped
rind and juice of 1 lemon or orange
1 1/2 c. cranberry juice
1/2 lb. butter or margarine, melted
4 large eggs, beaten
glazed fruit (optional)
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
Preparation

Boil together raisins or currants, apple, rind and juice of lemon or orange and cranberry juice 5 minutes.
Cool.
Add butter or margarine, eggs, glazed fruit and walnuts.
Sift together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and allspice.
In large bowl, mix all ingredients well.
Put in greased and floured deep baking pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 2 hours or test with toothpick.
(Will keep a long time stored in a sealed tin.)
