2/3 c. Crisco shortening
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. Hershey's cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. chocolate chips
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Beat shortening, brown sugar, water and vanilla on medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
Add eggs and beat well.
Stir together flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda.
Gradually add to sugar mixture, beating on low speed.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 7 to 9 minutes.
Cool on a piece of foil.
