Broiled Stuffed Clams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 tsp. minced onion or shallot
    1 bud garlic, minced
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 doz. clams in the shell, well scrubbed
    1/2 c. water or dry white wine
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. cream or evaporated milk
    3/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
    1/4 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Saute the onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons of the melted butter or margarine 3 minutes.
    Add the well-scrubbed clams and the wine, cover the pan and simmer 5 to 10 minutes, or until clams are opened.
    Remove the clams from the pan and remove the clams from the shells.
    Chop the clams or put them through a meat grinder.
    Rinse the shells in cold, running water.
